About Newma

Newma is a women’s health practice in Colorado Springs, Colorado, providing comprehensive postpartum care for moms and babies. The team of specialists treat mom and baby together, protecting their health and promoting wellness throughout the postpartum and early childhood period.

The team at Newma takes a holistic, naturalistic, and informative approach to care, offering services that benefit the well-being of both mother and baby. The team offers primary care, newborn care, and postpartum care services to manage general health.

The lactation consultants at Newma also provide lactation support and help with feeding newborn babies. They also offer therapeutic ultrasound treatments for clogged milk ducts and mastitis, relieving pain, re-establishing breast milk flow, and potentially preventing the need for antibiotics.

The team at Newma understands the impact childbirth has on mom and baby and offers chiropractic care to improve skeletal alignment and craniosacral therapy to reduce soft tissue discomfort.

I can’t say enough about how wonderful my experience was with my lactation specialist, Mara. Nursing was a big challenge for me in the beginning, and I would have given up had it not been for the knowledge and encouragement that Mara provided. My little one is now 5 months old and I still have questions sometimes. Mara is always ready and willing to answer any questions I might have, even though I don’t see her on a regular basis anymore.
